Firing Information: We bisque to cone ^06 and glaze fire to cone ^6 oxidation.

We strongly recommend you purchase your clay and glaze from the studio. We only accept in house purchase of clay and glaze for firing services.

Do not call us to find out if your work has been fired. Expect another 15 days for your work to go through glaze firing. We are a small studio and does not have the capacity to store pieces for an extended period of time. Work not picked up after 1 week from drop off or glazing date will no longer be available for pick up.

We will treat your work like our own, but unfortunately, nothing is guaranteed in ceramics and sometimes pieces can get dinged or broken.

Disclaimer and Refund Policy: Please make note that we are a cone 5-6 mid-range clay studio. Low fire glaze requests will be accommodated in our bisque fire kiln. This means you assume the potential risk of a piece exploding in the kiln and sticking to your work and releasing moisture that could interfere with certain low fire glazes.

Each one of your low fire glazed pieces must be labeled with the cone fire information of the glaze you are using. Payment must be made at drop off and there is no refund available for breakage, cracking, explosion or imperfect firing of any kind.

Please, come prepared with the list of items you are dropping off and their dimensions. We have the right to refuse large works. Glaze firing greenware is prohibited. Pieces must have been bisque fired prior to glaze firing.

Botpots Christchurch is not to be hold responsible for a piece cracking, breaking, blistering, exploding or any other type of unsatisfactory result.

Prices for small pieces per firing is approximately $5 (bisque) and $5 (glazed)

Glazing prices for small pieces starts at $2 per piece. Medium starts at $4. We might not take on large pieces due to kiln capacity.
